Londonderry — October 22, 2017
On Sunday, Oct. 22 churches in the Southern NH Region gathered together for their monthly regional event. This month’s event was hosted at Orchard Christian Fellowship and was different from others in the past as worship was led by a youth-team, comprised of students from local congregations. There were several prayer times, including a segment that had individuals select a ministry to pray with including, Marketplace Ministry, Pastoral, Ministry in the Home and more. These groups covered many specific prayer topics for their respective spheres of influence, as well as serving to foster connections.
A highlight of this night was seeing the youth step out with their gifts and talents for God’s glory. Talk about refreshing! Jesus was indeed lifted up! Mary Butow, Regional Coordinator for Derry/Londonderry, who oversaw the team, has long had a desire to see youth, particularly as a unity team, leading in worship at the monthly regional gatherings. Clint Perry, a former intern with The Orchard, mentors the youth in worship for their weekly Sunday evening meetings, which regularly draw youth from the region. Together they came together for a night to lift Jesus high with local youth.
The meeting closed with a brief re-cap of some of the awesome encounters and connections made at the October 6-8, “Awaken The Dawn” event in Washington, D.C.
